Students from Belper School after receiving their A' Level results yesterday.
Headteacher, Trevor Harding said, "We are very pleased with this year's A-Level results and they are a credit to the students and staff who have worked together so successfully.
117 students sat A-Level examinations at Belper School this summer and they achieved a pass rate of 99%. The average point score per student was a very pleasing 752. Of the grades achieved by our students 40% were A*, A or B.
Many of our Year 13 students will be now be taking up employment or an apprenticeship and we wish them well in the workplace although the majority of our students will in fact be taking up a place at university this Autumn. They will be attending a range of institutions across the UK including local universities such as Derby, Sheffield and Nottingham but also as far afield as Cambridge, Durham and Southampton. We wish them the very best in their studies.
There have been many very strong individual performances with a number of students achieving A* or A grades. We would particularly like to congratulate twins Ellie and Rosie Benson who both gained three A grades and who will be heading for their first choice universities in September".
