Rams' pre-season to start with a trip to Mansfield

DERBY County's pre-season programme of fixtures will start against Mansfield Town.

They will meet the Stags at Field Mill on Wednesday, July 25 (7.30pm) and then play Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday, July 28 (3pm).

Matches follow against League Two club Northampton Town and Colchester United who finished 10th in League One this season.

Derby are at Northampton on Tuesday, July 31 (7.30pm), and at Colchester's Community Stadium on Friday, August 3 (7.30pm).

The Rams are also due to play Premier League opposition at Pride Park Stadium in the week commencing Monday, August 6, opponents to be confirmed, before facing Chesterfield at the b2net Stadium on Saturday, August 11 (3pm).

The 2012-13 Championship campaign starts on Saturday, August 18.

Derby Reserves' Central League Cup final against Manchester City, held over from this season, will be played at Pride Park on Saturday, August 4, with a 3pm kick off.

The Reserves will play friendlies at Belper Town on Tuesday, August 7 (7.30pm) and at Matlock Town on Wednesday, August 15 (7.45pm).
