  • Built in 1824, St Peters Church replaced St Johns as the main centre of worship in Belper as the town expanded thanks to the growing mill industry. It is still in use today with an Open Evangelical community
  • Dating from 1250, Belper St John's chapel is the oldest building in Belper and a prominent local landmark. Replaced as the centre of worship by St Peters in 1824 it now hosts Belper Town Council and visitors centre.
  • Visited by John Wesley himself, Belper Methodist Church has stood in the town since 1807. It is the oldest church that is still in use as a place of worship.
  • Belper Baptist church was built in 1819 to host the burgeoning Baptist community in Belper.

  • Built during the 1st World War Our Lady of Perpetual Succour serves on Gibfield Lane Belpers Roman Catholic community.
